The orchestra draws its repertoire from the libraries of the best big bands from both sides of the Atlantic - bands such as Glenn Miller, Count Basie,
Anton Browne & Julia sing Rat Pack
Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, The Rat Pack, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Ted Heath, Ken Mackintosh, Benny Goodman and many more. The programme, although ever evolving, always provides excitement, nostalgia and class.


 

The Len Phillips Big Band is made up of sixteen of the country’s finest musicians plus two of its most accomplished singers: Eleanor Keenan (Syd Lawrence, Andy Ross, Joe Loss) and Anton Browne (Gillespiana). Saxes are led by Roy Willox (Ted Heath, Ronnie Hazlehurst), Trombones by Andy Flaxman (Syd Lawrence, The Ronnie Scotts Big Band), Trumpets include Trevor Barber (Shirley Bassey, The Rat Pack) and on Piano, Don Hunt (Bruce Forsyth, Sammy Davis Jnr) to name but a few.
